Quarantine was established in 1998 by directors Richard Gregory and Renny O’Shea with designer Simon Banham. We make original theatre, performance and public events with and about the people who are in it. Whatever form it takes, our work begins and ends with the people in the room. Over the last 20 years, we've collaborated with a shifting constellation of artists, performers and people who've never done anything like this before. Our work seeks to create the circumstances for a conversation between strangers...

Simon Banham and Richard Gregory gave a talk and a workshop around the theme of The Intimate and the Epic at World Stage Design in Cardiff, alongside Wildworks, National Theatre Scotland and National Theatre Wales. Simon’s design for National Theatre Wales production of Coriolan/us (which was co-directed by another long-time Quarantine collaborator Mike Brookes) was featured in the World Stage Design exhibition. Richard Gregory opened this year’s Noorderzon Perfoming Arts Festival in Groningen, Netherlands with a speech about risk and failure. Read his paper here
