Quarantine Home
Tender: Create our new website

Quarantine was established in 1998 by directors Richard Gregory and Renny O’Shea with designer Simon Banham. We make original theatre, performance and public events with and about the people who are in it. Whatever form it takes, our work begins and ends with the people in the room. Over the last 20 years, we've collaborated with a shifting constellation of artists, performers and people who've never done anything like this before. Our work seeks to create the circumstances for a conversation between strangers...

Tender: Create our new website

Posted: 25 March 2021

We are inviting expressions of interest from individuals, teams and companies interested in working with us to create a new website for Quarantine.

This website was built for us eight years ago on WordPress. The structure, aesthetic and functionality of the site hasn’t changed since it was built and is now outdated and becoming no longer fit for purpose.

In 2020, we underwent a brand refresh, working with Studio Dotto in Manchester. The new website should reflect this brand identity, as well as the aesthetic of our artistic work.

We are looking for a collaborator who can help us re-think how our website could look, function and be structured in creative and original ways. We want to meet someone with a complementary way of working, who will approach this project in an imaginative, thoughtful and discursive way.

Our new online home will be a creative space in its own right, while helping us to connect with our broad range of audiences and communicate with the partners and funders who make our work possible.

We imagine it will be built on SaaS or open-source CMS software, most likely WordPress. It needs to showcase our current and past projects and be a source of information for both a professional and a public audience. Ideally, it will support the taking of payments (selling merchandise/taking donations) and event promotion.

Full details are available in our website tender brief.

If you’re interested in working with us, please send an expression of interest to Frances Richens, Communications & Development Manager, at frances@qtine.com by Friday 7th May 2021.
