Quarantine was established in 1998 by directors Richard Gregory and Renny O’Shea with designer Simon Banham. We make original theatre, performance and public events with and about the people who are in it. Whatever form it takes, our work begins and ends with the people in the room. for nearly 25 years, we've collaborated with a shifting constellation of artists, performers and people who've never done anything like this before. Our work seeks to create the circumstances for a conversation between strangers...

Quarantine in quarantine

Quarantine’s work is about bringing people together; sharing space and conversation. The coronavirus pandemic and lockdown is undeniably a time of separation, but it is also a unique moment of connectivity. One aided by our expanding digital lives.

Our ‘Quarantine in quarantine’ programme features digital events that create the circumstances for conversations between strangers. And, importantly, that keep supporting the freelance artists, technicians and others we rely on to make our work.
