Quarantine

is a group of people working together as artists and producers who are united by an interest in everyday life. Our work across performance and other forms deals with the politics and aesthetics of contemporary experience and how we relate to one another.

Rooted in Manchester, England since 1998, we make and tour our work around the world.

Work
The Questions is a three-part project taking place in 2025 in Manchester and Chemnitz, twin cities since 1983.

Through performance, conversation and cultural exchange, Quarantine, in collaboration with ASA-FF (Chemnitz, Germany) will work together to create intergenerational encounters, both locally and internationally.
Performance
12 Last Songs is a durational piece by Quarantine about labour – the work that we do. Taking place over 12 hours, it is part-performance, part-exhibition of people.
event
A book is in the library and a library is in the book. Building of spines is a new project by Quarantine, created by lead artist Kate Daley in collaboration with writer Ella Otomewo. It happens over seven days in a library. During that time a book is researched, written, edited, printed and bound by hand.
