Lisa Mattocks

Digital Artist

Lisa is a digital artist and coder and has been making work with Quarantine since 2011. 

For Quarantine, Lisa has made films, trailers, websites, written essays, performed in shows. She has been a stage manager, a technician, a co-deviser, a conductor, a typesetter, a producer, a collaborator, a lead artist, a video programmer and a graphic designer.

Lisa has co-founded several festivals and companies; and for much of her early career, she supported and produced the work of countless other artists. In 2013 Lisa founded The Future – an artist-centred development collective, driven by activism and a desire to support artists ethically. 

Lisa has a long history of creating work in collaboration with artists and producers. She currently collaborates regularly with Sonia Hughes, Jo Fong, Lowri Evans and Jenny Gaskell.

Her own work has been commissioned and exhibited by Sick Festival, LeftCoast, University of Salford, Manchester Metropolitan University, Contact, Peter Scott Gallery, ACCA and Noorderzon Festival. She has collaborated on work that has been commissioned by many high-profile and international arts organisations, including Compass Arts Festival (Leeds), In Between Time (Bristol), MIF (Manchester), The Lowry, Royal Exchange, Northern Stage, BAC, ICA (London), Sibfest (Romania) Festival de Otono en Primavera (Madrid), ACT (Bilbao) Festival a/d Werf, (Utrecht) and Comedie de Bethune (France).
