Quarantine Home
Lab Sweden at Göteborgs Dans & Teater Festival

Quarantine was established in 1998 by directors Richard Gregory and Renny O’Shea with designer Simon Banham. We make original theatre, performance and public events with and about the people who are in it. Whatever form it takes, our work begins and ends with the people in the room. Over the last 20 years, we've collaborated with a shifting constellation of artists, performers and people who've never done anything like this before. Our work seeks to create the circumstances for a conversation between strangers...

Lab Sweden at Göteborgs Dans & Teater Festival

Posted: 3 August 2016

This month, Wallflower travels to Tanum in Sweden for this year’s Göteborgs Dans & Teater Festival (18 – 27 August), Sweden’s international festival of performing arts.

As part of Quarantine’s involvement in the festival, Richard Gregory and Renny O’Shea have been invited to lead a two-day workshop as part of Lab Sweden, an artistic lab for inclusive dance and performing artists created by Spinn and Candoco Dance Company.

In the lab they will share some of their work and practice with the participants, exploring ideas around seeing and being seen, and using the everyday as a source of material. The workshops will involve excursions into the world outside – and bringing the “real world” back into the lab itself…
